Healed Heart
…the desert shall..blossom as the rose.
Isaiah 35:1 NKJV
I had been meditating on that verse in a poetic sense, believing that God wants to take desert hearts and heal them. I started this live painting by creating a broken heart, a heart that has been so wounded that it can only love in a fragmented way. I covered the fractured pieces with the flower garden, symbolizing the outcome of surrendering the brokenness to God. The last song the musicians played while I was painting was “Graves Into Gardens”, telling about how God changes difficult things into beautiful ones. The pastor spoke that day about surrendering our hearts to God so He could heal them. The music team, the pastor, and I had not planned any of it, but the entire message was confirmed by a symphony of creative worship.
It is the second one in my heart series of Broken Heart, Healed Heart, and Whole Heart. I re-created Broken Heart later, since it was covered by the healed heart. A trifold card showing all three is available for this series.
